教員紹介

私の専門である病理学とは、人体から採取された臓器や組織を肉眼や光学顕微鏡下で観察し、その臓器や組織にどういう異常が生じているかを判断し、診断する学問です。簡単に言えば、「病気を目でみる」学問です。そのなかには、最適な治療薬を選択するための情報や、あるいは治療薬に起因する組織変化の判定も含まれています。私の研究テーマである真菌も、ウイルスや細菌より大きく、光学顕微鏡で観察可能な大きさの病原体です。治療すべき相手がどのような疾患であるのか、身体にどのような影響があるのかを自分の目で確認したいと思いませんか？将来の職業として薬剤師を考える皆さんにとって得難い経験になると思います。
